Together with the optional 2-IN-1 Cable or Port-Powered
RS-232/RS-485/RS-422/TTL Converters, 232Analyzer allows you to
monitor communications between any other two serial devices. For example,
a PC program to serial devices (e.g. Building Automation windows
program to external PLC devices), or a Controller to serial devices
(e.g. Remote Controller to Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cameras).
This is
a very important feature as sometimes the serial device does not
come with protocol documentation and you need to develop your own control
program. It is also useful when you are trying
to understand the communications between the controller and the
device.
Timestamps are available in Monitoring
mode (both Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex modes).
