In addition to
the capability of sending data / signals, 232Analyzer
comes with some UNIQUE and POWERFUL
features, such as Programmable buttons, Auto-Response and Macros, which allow controlling sophisticated serial devices
with a button click. Here is
how:
Many devices must receive sequences of
data / signals in order to perform certain tasks. For example, if
you are using a RTS-controlled RS232/RS485 converter to control
Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras, you need to first turn ON RTS (Request to
Send), and then send out commands to the cameras. Subsequently, you need to
turn OFF RTS so that a RS485 converter (half duplex) can receive and
respond to the data coming from the cameras. Requirement: Timing between
each steps can not exceed 500ms.
Some procedures could be much more complicated than the example
above, but
no need to worry - with the option of having up to thirty-two (32)
possible Programmable Buttons, virtually any task is child's play.
Note: Buttons can be chained together so that
when you click on a single button, it will send out up to 32 steps
of data / signals continuously, with the delay, repeat and interval
options!
Still not enough? Then try out the 8x8 steps + 8x8 sub-routines
of the Programmable Macros, which allows you to run total 64 steps of
pre-programmed sequences (with 64 possible sub-routines to check
incoming data/signals and respond accordingly). And all this with
only one button click!
