The RPT-232-3 is
an
industrial
grade (wide temperature range with surge & static
protection)
optically isolated RS232 Repeater / RS232 Extender) (TX, RX,
and GND), which works in pairs to extend the full-duplex
RS-232 distance up to 1.8 miles (3 km). This product
features opto-isolation circuitry, which effectively protect
your RS-232 devices from
ground
loops, transient surges and spikes.
The unit is powered from the
RS-232 data line, and therefore, no external power or RTS,
DTR is required.

The RPT-485_422-2 is an
industrial
grade (wide temperature range with surge & static
protection) bi-directional
RS485
Repeater / RS422 Repeater
or RS485
to RS422 Converter, which can be used to
extend the RS-485 or RS-422 distance to up to 4000 ft
(1.2km). It can also be used to convert a two-wire RS-485
signal into a four-wire RS-422 signal, and vice versa.
This
product features data direction auto-turnaround. Therefore,
no flow control is required.
